Developing AI Agents with Tools, Memory and Planning

Description

In this advanced, hands-on course, you’ll learn how to build AI agents that can reason, plan, and execute autonomously — using built-in tools , memory structures , and multi-step logic . AI agents are increasingly being used to automate tasks that previously required human coordination, from looking up information and filling out forms to executing complex workflows across multiple systems.

You will learn how to develop agents that can call APIs, use tools intelligently, and maintain consistency across sessions with memory. We will cover multiple frameworks such as:

  • CrewAI (collaborative agents with role division)

  • LangGraph (graph-based agent flows)

  • AutoGPT (autonomous agents with goal-oriented action planning)

  • Microsoft Copilot Studio (for developing enterprise-grade assistants within Microsoft 365)

  • Vertex AI Agent Builder (for developing agents within the Google Cloud stack)

Depending on the needs of your team or organization, we can dive deeper into one specific framework or ecosystem in this training. Whether you work in an Azure, AWS or Google Cloud environment, or use an open-source stack: the training fits your context.

Learning objectives

  • Working with frameworks such as CrewAI, LangGraph, AutoGPT, Copilot Studio and Vertex AI Agent Builder

  • Allow AI agents to reason about tasks, plan steps, and execute actions independently

  • Integrate external tools and APIs to handle real-time tasks (e.g. sending emails, generating documents, querying databases)

  • Establishing memory: short-term memory (conversation flow) and long-term memory (knowledge, preferences, history)

  • Designing use cases within customer service, internal tooling, operations, information processing and process automation

Approach and working methods

This training is completely hands-on and is tailored to the needs of your team or organization. You will work with realistic use cases and build a working agent during the session, integrating tools, memory and multi-step reasoning.

Do you want to delve into a specific platform such as Copilot Studio, LangGraph or Vertex AI Agent Builder? We will tailor the program specifically to that.

There is room for your own datasets, APIs and practical applications.

For whom

This course is intended for developers, ML engineers, solution architects and tech leads who want to develop or integrate AI agents into existing processes, applications or workflows. Experience with Python and basic knowledge of LLMs and prompt engineering is recommended.
